News about True Blood Season 3

E! Online has an exclusive interview with True Blood boss Alan Ball:

News for Team Everybody Else: Season three will be about “identity,” as the various characters figure out who they are: Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) investigates his biological parents and his shapeshifter heritage, Sookie (Anna Paquin) “gets closer to the answer” of why she has that flashy fairy power—and why bro Jason (Ryan Kwanten) doesn’t; and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) explores her newfound vampirism. As producer Raelle Tucker told us, “Jessica’s going through an identity crisis, and needing to suck blood to survive doesn’t make [being a teenager] any easier. But she’s really finding who she is…but when you have fangs, there are some missteps along the way that can be quite dangerous.”

Darren Lynn Bousman talks about Deborah

FEARNet has an exclusive interview with Mother’s Day director Darren Lynn Bousman. Here’s the part of it:

You have Deborah Ann Woll in the cast too. She has a big following because of True Blood. Did you find her because you’re a fan of that show?

I’m a huge fan of the show. Here’s the deal… I try to do this with all of my castings: I cast people who I want to work with or I’m fans of. That was the same thing with Deborah Ann Woll. The funny thing was I never went after her. Partially because I never in a million years thought she would do a movie like this or want to be involved in a movie like this. So she was the very first person we cast. It is kind of a funny story. I was in the middle of going through my wish list for Mothers, Ikes, and Addleys and the casting director said, “I put together a tape of Lydias for you.” I said, “Okay, great.” I looked at the tape, and the very first one that had come in was Deborah Ann Woll. I see it and I was like, “Oh my God, she’s perfect!” I mean immediately, from frame 1, she embodied everything I wanted in that character. So when everyone got called back and when she walked in the room I was like, “You know what, don’t read, you’ve got the role. I just wanted to see you in person to confirm what I saw on that tape.” She’s amazing. I mean she’s got this presence; she’s going to be huge. I think that True Blood is the first of many amazing things we’re going to see with her.

True Blood News interview with Deborah Ann Woll

When Deborah climbed into her character Jessica’s skin and tumbled out from the trunk of a car we didn’t know what was coming. As she stared up at Bill with her angelic face and pleading eyes at the tribunal, we had no idea she would be a spark that ignited the screen on fire.

With her fiery red hair and blazing blue eyes, Deborah is a force to be reckoned with. After crawling out of the dirt, spending time with Eric and going through the True Blood taste test, she has become one of our favorites. She has left us with many great lines and one hell of a cliffhanger going into season three.

Vitals: Deborah Ann Woll was born on February 7th, 1985. Her first role was in “Life” as Nancy and that lead to several guest spots in “ER,” “My name is Earl” and “The Mentalist.” Deborah has experience playing the piano and Latin and Swing dancing; she is also a certified lifeguard. Deborah didn’t always know she wanted to be a actress but she knew she wanted to be a performer. We are so lucky she made the choice to be an actress and shares her amazing talent with us. We recently had the pleasure of interviewing Deborah and now we love her even more, you’ll see why…
